Insurance and Accidents

All recreational gymnasts in the club are insured under OP Insurance’s group accident insurance. The insurance is valid for recreational activities both in the club’s facilities and at supervised events organized by the club. However, the insurance does not cover competitive sports. In cooperation with the City of Espoo (KULPS, Lystiloikka, Ikämoto, etc.), the city’s insurance terms and operational guidelines apply.

In the event of an accident, the gymnast will receive first aid as quickly as possible. All of our training facilities have coaches and instructors with first aid skills. If a child requires medical attention, the guardians will be contacted. Additionally, even in minor cases, guardians will be informed after practice (please ensure your contact details are up to date in myClub!). Any necessary further actions will be discussed with the guardians.

Instructions for Guardians of Recreational Gymnasts

1.

You may seek medical care from any provider of your choice.

2.

For more expensive examinations (e.g., MRI scans), a payment commitment from the insurance company is required. Please wait for this approval before proceeding.

3.

The patient is responsible for paying the doctor’s consultation fee at the time of the visit.

4.

After the doctor’s visit, contact the club office at toimisto@espoontelinetaiturit.fi for insurance claims and any necessary payment commitments.

5.

Additionally, please inform the club office of the expected length of any medical leave.

In case of accidents, please contact the club’s office. In certain situations, we may process a full or partial refund of fees. To request a refund, please send an email including the gymnast’s name, reason for the refund request (attach a copy of the medical certificate for activity restrictions), your bank account number, and BIC code.
